John K. Villa is a partner at Williams & Connolly, Washington, D.C. He was formerly Trial Attorney—Civil Division, United States Department of Justice. Mr. Villa is a member of the American Bar Association and author of two annually updated treatises, Banking Crimes: Fraud, Money Laundering, and Embezzlement (Thompson Reuters/West) and Corporate Counsel Guidelines (Thomson Reuters/West). Mr. Villa is a frequent lecturer at conferences and on the faculty of the FFIEC White-Collar Crime School for federal bank and thrift examiners, and is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law School.
